Shot Fired in Dispute at New Rochelle Elks Club this Morning

The incident occurred during a private party.

A man was struck in the arm and nose by fragments from a bullet shot into the ground during a dispute at a private party early Friday at the Elks club on Lincoln Avenue in New Rochelle, according to police.

The Journal News reports the man walked to Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital for treatment following the 2:15 a.m. incident. No other injuries were reported.

Details of what may have started the dispute were not immediately available as police continued their investigation, but a suspect who may have fired the gun had been apprehended.
