Snow Emergency Canceled In New Rochelle

Free parking at two municipal garages will end at 6 a.m. Wednesday.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Effective at 4 p.m. Tuesday, the snow emergency was canceled in New Rochelle.

Free parking at the New Roc and Transit Center Garages will end at 6 a.m. Wednesday to make room for morning commuters, according to information from City Hall.

City Public Works crews will continue clearing the roads, and residents are reminded to not throw snow back into the roadways when shoveling.

Sidewalks that abut your property must be cleared by the property owners.

Schedule changes:

  • The Committee of the Whole meeting scheduled for March 14 has been rescheduled to March 21; and the Regular Legislative meeting is now March 28.
  • Wednesday’s citywide paper recycling has been postponed until Thursday, March 16. As a result, Thursday’s North End garbage pickup has been cancelled. Normal collection will resume on Friday with pickup in the South End.
