Special Ed Teacher Faces Child Porn Charges

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Westchester County man, who is a special education teacher at Lewis and Clark High School in the Bronx, was arraigned in New Rochelle City Court on child pornography charges. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. announced Monday that Tyler Davidson, 37, of New Rochelle, was charged with one count of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and one count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, felonies.
Scarpino said, in October 2017, an email service provider detected suspicious activity relating to Davidson’s account.

After the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force referred information to the High Technology Crime Bureau in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, investigators executed a search warrant Friday, March 2, 2018, at Davidson’s residence and seized his computers.

A preliminary forensic review of the computers revealed numerous pornographic images of girls under the age of 10, authorities said.
If convicted, Davidson faces seven years in state prison. He is due back in court on March 15, 2018.

There was no immediate response to a request for a comment from the principal of Lewis and Clark High School.
