Special Weather Statement Issued For Hudson Valley

Hold onto your hats. Gusty winds are forecast throughout much of the Hudson Valley Sunday. The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

Northwest winds will increase to 20 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 to 40 mph Sunday.

The NWS said some wind gusts could reach up to 45 mph.

With trees still having partial to full foliage, these higher wind gusts could take down some tree limbs or small tress and hence may cause some power outages.
