Below is the statement from Richardson:
Today at approximately 10:57 during the first lunch period, a group of students engaged in a fight outside of the school on the school field. The fight was immediately broken up and most of the students who were involved have been identified. Their parents are being contacted and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken. There were no injuries. All students are safe and no classes have been interrupted. We have been asked by the NRPD to suspend outdoor lunch time recess for today. All students are being asked to remain inside and will follow their normal school schedules. School will be dismissed at our normal time.
