Stop And Shop To Close 1 New Rochelle Store
Talks are underway to have a car dealership takes its place.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Downtown New Rochelle is set to lose a supermarket. The New Roc Stop & Shop will close in February and talks are underway to replace it with a car dealership.
The city council will talk about the issue March 12 , and a public hearing is expected to be scheduled for April 9, the Journal News said.
The store in within walking distance to student and senior housing.

Another Stop and Shop is at 2425 Palmer Avenue. ShopRite is located at 8 Joyce Road and Palmer Avenue. C-Town is on Main Street west of the New Roc City.
