Suspect In New Rochelle High School Stabbing Located
The 15-year-old waived extradition and is being brought back to New York.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle High School student wanted in connection with a stabbing Jan. 18 inside the school has been located in Alabama. New Rochelle police said, on Monday afternoon, members of the FBI arrested the 15-year old suspect.
He was taken into custody at a relative’s home in Gadsden, AL, pursuant to a warrant of arrest.
The teen is being held in a juvenile detention facility in Alabama while the New Rochelle Police Department and the Westchester County District Attorney’s office work out the details of his extradition.

The teenager was the victim of an assault Jan. 17 at a nearby pizzeria. No arrests were made because all those involved would not cooperative.
He had a history of violence, having stabbed a student two years earlier outside Isaac E. Young Middle School.

The stabbing inside the high school came one week after Valaree Schwab was fatally stabbed in the Dunkin’ Donuts near the high school on North Avenue.
Fellow student Z’inah Brown, 17, was charged with second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter, felonies, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.
