Tarrytown-Based Company Helps Build New Website for New Rochelle Public Library

MSM Designz, Inc. worked closely with library staff to build the site.

The New Rochelle Public Library (NRPL) has developed and launched a new website (at www.nrpl.org) that gives residents “enhanced access to NRPL’s myriad of digital information, tutorials, databases, and many more additional resources,” officials announced.

The goal of the new site is make navigating its information and resources easier. “From enrolling to an online language course or registering for a free Museum Pass, to taking a Lynda.com tutorial on the latest electronic device or downloading the latest ebooks, the website provides NRPL library cardholders with scores of resources that enrich lives.”

The new site, which retains the address of www.nrpl.org, was funded by a grant from the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation. MSM Designz, Inc. worked closely with library staff to build the site, developing solutions specific to the library’s unique needs. The Tarrytown-based company provided seamless connections to the library’s subscribed digital services with the Westchester Library System Westchester Library System and with the library’s other digital media platforms such as facebook, Instagram and the library’s blog.

“Our new website immediately connects patrons to countless literary, educational, financial, and cultural opportunities,” said Thomas Geoffino, library director, in a statement. “The community of New Rochelle will have greater access to the excellent, up-to-date on-line resources as well as information about what is taking place in main library building downtown and the Huguenot Children’s Library. We are indeed grateful to the NRPL Foundation for making this important improvement a reality.”

This is the website for the library that has been funded by the NRPL Foundation. One of three fund raising arms for the library, the Foundation supports NRPL with grants for construction projects and initiative that foster continuous growth and innovation.

“The new website was an ideal project for Foundation funding,” said Chris Selin, NRPL Foundation president. “The new site will enable more people to easily benefit from the wonderful resources provided by our great library.”
