Teen Assaulted By 4 Attackers, Robbed Of Phone And Fanny Pack: Police

1 adult and 3 juveniles were arrested on felony charges in connection to the weekend mugging, according to New Rochelle police.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police say that a teenager was able to identify some of his attackers after he was mugged.

The New Rochelle Police Department says that on Saturday, shortly before 11 p.m., officers were called to Huguenot Street on a report of a robbery.

Officers responding to the scene interviewed the 17-year-old victim who told them he had been assaulted, along with having his cellphone and fanny pack stolen.

The teen told police that he knew some of the suspects and provided names and descriptions.

Shortly after, officers located the suspects, and the victim was able to positively identify those who had committed the crimes against him.

Police arrested one adult and three juveniles.

The adult, 18-year-old Veilman Jiminez-Ramirez, of New Rochelle, and the three male juveniles were charged with felony second degree robbery and misdemeanor third degree assault.

While Jiminez-Ramirez was held pending arraignment in New Rochelle City Court, the juveniles were held pending arraignment by the Youth Part of the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.
