Teenage Girl Stabbed At New Ro Dunkin' Donuts Dies: UPDATE

The girl and a teenage boy got into a fight with a group of other teens.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle High School student who was stabbed Wednesday in the North Avenue Dunkin’ Donuts has died. Police identified the girl as Valeree Schwab, 16, lohud.com said.

The City School District of New Rochelle issued a statement that said the district was saddened by the incident on North Avenue today in which a New Rochelle High School student was stabbed.

"The student was not in school today and the incident did not happen on school grounds. New Rochelle High School and School District officials are cooperating fully with the New Rochelle Police Department in this matter. The High School and District will make counselors, social workers and other professionals available for students and staff who require assistance for as long as is necessary," the statement said.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A 16-year-old New Rochelle High School student was stabbed Wednesday afternoon during a fight in the Dunkin’ Donuts across from Iona College on North Avenue. The girl and a teenage boy got into a fight with a group of teens.

She was stabbed in the upper torso by one of the teenage girls in the group and was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, lohud.com said.

She sustained life-threatening injuries and is being treated.
