Top Metro-North Union OKs Strike Vote
Metro-North Railroad is used by about 280,000 people every day.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Rail commuters in the lower and mid-Hudson Valley could be trying to find alternate ways to get to and from work if the 2,400 members of Metro-North’s largest union authorize a rail strike. The executive board of the Association of Commuter Rail Employees voted 5-0 to send the issue to its members during a meeting Tuesday.
No vote has been scheduled, and there is no projected strike date, lohud.com said. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
