Traffic Alert: New Hutch Lane Closures This Week
Breaking: The roadwork will stretch from New Rochelle to Scarsdale on Thursday and Friday but is not planned during rush hours.
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is alerting drivers about possible delays for the rest of the week.
The right lane of a section of the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester County will be closed daily for construction work through the end of the week.
The NYSDOT said the right northbound lane of the Hutch is expected to close between Exit 8 (Webster Ave.) in New Rochelle and Exit 11 (State Route 125) in Scarsdale. The closures will start Thursday and continue through Friday.

The scheduled roadwork will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily, weather permitting, according to the agency.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
