Traffic Alert: New Hutch Lane Closures This Weekend

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is warning drivers about possible delays this weekend.

One lane of a section of the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester County will be closed in both directions for road paving work.

The NYSDOT said that one lane of the Hutch, northbound and southbound, is expected to close between Exit 8 (Cross County Parkway) in the City of New Rochelle and Exit 6 (East Lincoln Ave.) in the City Mount Vernon/Village of Pelham.

The closures will start Friday at 11 p.m. and continue through Saturday at 10 a.m., weather permitting, according to the agency.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a drivers license suspension.
