NEW ROCHELLE, NY — After New Rochelle detectives were alerted that a handgun was found in a car that was being impounded for unpaid parking tickets, an investigation turned up evidence of a false identity, forgery, illegal gun possession and outstanding arrest warrants in Rye and Nassau County.

In addition to the illegal handgun, multiple forged documents were also found in the vehicle impounded on Jan. 6, and a suspect was soon identified, according to investigators.

An expired parking meter is now the least of Brandon Gracey's problems. On Wednesday, the 25-year-old was arrested for felony criminal possession of a weapon, felony possession of a forged instrument, criminal impersonation and grand larceny.
