Update: New Rochelle Police ID 3 Killed In Weekend Overdose Tragedy

The victims range in age from 49 years old to 28 years old. One victim whose ID has not been released remains in critical condition.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police have now identified the three men killed in this weekend's mass overdose. All three were New Rochelle residents.

Carl Encarnacion, 43, Danny Howard, 49, and Sean Thomas Windley, 28 were all pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday.

"The City of New Rochelle and the New Rochelle Police Department extends our sincerest sympathy to the families of these three men," police said in a statement released on Monday. "The fourth victim, a Mount Vernon resident, remains hospitalized and will not be identified at this time."

On Saturday, shortly before 2:45 p.m., New Rochelle police received a call from a man reporting that he was possibly overdosing and that he was with three others who were also overdosing and unresponsive.

The caller was disoriented and did not know where he was, but New Rochelle Police Department dispatchers were able to ping his cell phone and tracked his location to 50 Fountain Place downtown. Officers located the caller and the three other unresponsive men in a storage room in the rear of the building.

New Rochelle Fire and EMS personnel rushed the caller to a local hospital. The three other males at the scene were pronounced dead by EMS Personnel.

The investigation remains open and active, anyone with information is urged to call the New Rochelle Police Department at 914-654-2300.
