Volunteers Plant 2,020 Tulip Bulbs At New Rochelle HS
The purple and white tulips were donated by a Volunteer New York! board member.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Every spring at New Rochelle High School there will now be a flower field of tulips blooming purple and white thanks to a generous donation of 2,020 bulbs from Volunteer New York!'s longtime board member Ally Gallin and the dedication of more than a dozen #volunteernewrochelle volunteers who planted each one of them Sunday.
The flowers were given as a tribute to the students that had been severely impacted by the new coronavirus pandemic.
Community members are encouraged to join this spirit of volunteerism. Check out 40 more ways you can volunteer in New Rochelle at volunteernewyork.org/newrochelle.
