NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Westchester man has agreed to a plea deal in a disturbing case in which a teen's body was found partially clothed on the street.

Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced that 33-year-old Hugo Perez-Gabriel, of New Rochelle, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to several felonies in connection with repeatedly sexually abusing a 15-year-old New Rochelle boy, and dumping the boy's body.

The felonies included felony use of a child less than 17 years of age in a sexual performance; felony third-degree criminal sexual act; and felony tampering with physical evidence.

According to the DA, at the time of the plea, the judge promised Perez-Gabriel nine to 15 years in state prison on the individual charges, indeterminate, in addition to 10 years of post-release supervision and mandatory sex-offender registration.

"The heinous crimes committed by this defendant against a 15-year-old boy can hardly be put into words," DA Cacace said. "It is unfathomable what the victim was made to suffer through before his premature death. The defendant's actions toward him were nothing short of merciless."

"My heart breaks for the victim's family, who are left to contemplate life without his companionship," the DA added. "I hope they can take a measure of solace in the fact that the defendant will now be locked away for a substantial period of time."

As related to the pleaded conduct, on Aug. 29, 2024, Perez-Gabriel sexually abused the 15-year-old victim. On Feb. 3, 2025, Perez-Gabriel induced the victim to engage in a sexual performance on video. On Feb. 6, 2025, Perez-Gabriel, along with a 16-year-old boy, dragged and disposed of the victim's body within New Rochelle.

The investigation was conducted by the New Rochelle Police Department and the DA's High-Tech Unit. The case is being prosecuted by Child Sexual Abuse Material Bureau Chief Laura Forbes and Sr. Assistant DA Mollie O'Rourke.
