Yankees Baseball Greats Help Out 14-Year-Old Fundraiser
"Stars for Cars" selling magnetic decals that honor military families, and the proceeds go to the USO.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - A New Rochelle eighth-grader who started a charity that benefits the USO was surprised Monday at an event at city hall when a Yankees legend and some current team members stopped by to help.
Jake Gallin, 14, founded “Stars for Cars,” which raises money through selling decals that honor Blue and Gold Star military families, according to his website.

He sells the 5-1/2-inch star-shaped decals for $10, which goes to the USO.
Among those helping Gallin out were former Yankees legend Mariano Rivera and current players Brett Gardner, Chase Headley, Brian McCann and Nick Goody, the Journal News said.
