Yonkers Raceway Returns From Hiatus Friday Night

The historic half-mile track will see the return to action with a dozen races on Friday night, June 16

Yonkers Raceway returns from a short hiatus on Friday night (June 16th), with a dozen races and the usual first post of 7:10 PM slated at Empire City Casino's historic half-mile oval.


The Friday card features the $55,000 Filly and Mare Open Handicap Pace, the eighth race of the evening, with local standout Beyonce’s Rockn and hot-driving Jason Bartlett remanded outside of her seven rivals.

Twelve races are also on the docket for Saturday night, led the highly-competitive Open Handicap Pace (8th race) for the gentlemen pacers, when a pair of Levy Series winners—Bit of a Legend N, with "Air" Jordan Stratton, driving from post 5, and Keystone Velocity, handled by Dan Dube alongside from post 6 — will collide.

In June and July, live racing is scheduled for every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights with 7:10 PM first post. Thursdays return in August, and note that there is no live racing Monday and Tuesday, July 3rd and 4th. As always, evening simulcasting accompanies all night time programs.

Sunday matinees return this weekend (June 18th, first post 12:30 PM), with the first four races of the "French Trot" variety (10 horse fields at the mile-and-a-quarter-distance).

The remaining Sundays scheduled are (July 2nd, 16th, 23rd & 30th) with first post time to be announced.

The ‘New York, New York Double’ returns this Sunday, tentatively including Belmont’s 3rd race (post time 2:32 PM) and Yonkers’ 7th race (post time 3 PM).
