• Glen Cove Woman Pleads Guilty for Fatal 2025 Crash (lilifepolitics.com) — A Glen Cove driver has pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and drugged driving for a July 2025 crash along the Long Island Expressway service road in North Hills that killed motorcyclist Lisa Pelaez and gravely injured her husband George. Prosecutors say she was high on cocaine and Xanax after a night of partying and earlier erratic driving, and she now faces a potential seven to 21 years in prison at sentencing this November.
