1st Annual East End Mushroom Company Cook-Off Postponed Due to Weather
The event has been re-scheduled due to the "impending inclement weather forecast."

The 1st annual East End Mushroom Company Mushroom Cook-Off has been postponed due to the inclement weather expected this weekend, event officials announced on Thursday.
The event was originally scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 3 at Macari Vineyards in Mattituck.
The cook-off has been re-scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24 due to ”the safety concerns surrounding the impending inclement weather forecast,” a post on the event’s Facebook page reads.

During the event, local and regional chefs will be cooking up dishes with the mushrooms grown by the East End Mushroom Compnay including: Maitake, Shiitake, and Oyster.
There will also be live music and beer.
