2 Charged With DWI In 1 Day After Hitting Poles On North Fork: PD
Both drivers were arrested Monday after crashing into utility poles on the North Fork, police say.
NORTH FORK, NY — Two drivers were arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated Monday after crashing into utility poles on the North Fork, just hours apart, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, at 3:22 a.m. Garbrielle Mungin, 28, of Riverhead, was arrested on Breakwater Road in Mattituck and charged with DWI, first offense, and aggravated DWI, no prior, after a single-vehicle crash. She was taken to Southold Town Police headquarters, where she was processed and held for arraignment at Southold Justice Court, police said.
Next, at 11:54 p.m. Felix Ramos Diaz, 34, of Cutchogue, was arrested on New York State Route 25 in Peconic and charged with DWI, first offense, after a single-vehicle crash where he struck and damaged a utility pole, police said. Ramos Diaz was arrested and taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center to be treated for his injuries, police said.

Ramos Diaz was released on a field appearance ticket to return to Southold Town Justice Court for arraignment on a later date, police said.
