2018 Election Preview: New York's 2nd Assembly District

LONG ISLAND, NY — The 2018 midterm elections take place on Tuesday and New York voters have several important decisions to make.

Long Island residents will get a chance to vote for the representative of New York's Second Assembly District this Election Day.

Here's what you need to know before heading out to the polls this November:

Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 6

Polling Times: Polls will open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Candidates: Incumbent Anthony Palumbo (R,C) will be challenged by Rona Smith (D).

District: The Second Assembly District of New York includes portions of Brookhaven Town of Brookhaven, and all of Riverhead and Southold.
