29th Annual East End Maritime Festival Kicks Off This Weekend
Here's a guide to the festivities so you won't miss a moment of the pirates, mermaids and fun.

GREENPORT, NY — It's time for pirates and mermaids a'plenty as the 29th Annual East End Maritime Festival kicks off this weekend in Greenport.
Presented by the East End Seaport Museum And Marine Foundation, the event officially begins Friday night with the Land & Sea Gala, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; VIP early access at 5:30 p.m. For tickets and information, click here.
Saturday morning’s parade through downtown Greenport kicks off the festival, followed by grand displays of classic wooden boats, kayak races, demonstrations of high tech water sports, wood carving and model ship building, music, delicious food, high end artisanal vendors, children’s activities, fresh oysters, craft beers and local wines.

The evening brings music and dancing in Mitchell Park and screenings of original movies. On Sunday there are more family friendly activities throughout the village, and old fashioned games in Mitchell Park.
