30th Annual East End Maritime Festival Kicks Off: Schedule Here

Greenport's the place to be this weekend for pirates, mermaids and fun at the 30th Annual East End Maritime Festival. Who else can't wait?

GREENPORT, NY — Greenport is the place to be this weekend for pirates, mermaids and fun as the 30th Annual East End Maritime Festival sails into the village.

The event takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here's a schedule of all the events so you won't miss a minute of the festivities.

The weekend kicks off Friday night with the Land & Sea Gala from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Greenport Yacht and Shipbuilding Co. on Carpenter St.

Guests can support the East End Seaport Museum & Seaport Foundation, which presents the Maritime Festival "at the party people look forward to all year long." VIP admission, 5:30 p.m. General admission, 5:30 p.m. To purchase tickets, click here.

10 a.m. to 11 a.m.: “Fire Fighter” America’s Fireboat display, Mitchell Park harbor

10:30 am. to 4:30 p.m.: Captain Kidd’s Alley. Crafts, treasure Chest. Mitchell Park

11 a.m.: Maritime Festival Parade. The parade runs fro Broad and Main to Front and 3rd Streets.

12 p.m.: Merry Merfolk Contest judging. Mitchell Park

12 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Children’s games on the green. Mitchell Park

1-Hour Cruises: Mystic Whaler Harbor Cruise Sail. RR/Commercial Dock, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

2 p.m.: Kayak races setup and registration

3 p.m.: Kayak races begin

4:30 p.m. to to 6:30 p.m.: Bug Light cruise and tour. Check-in 4 p.m.

6 p.m.: Streets open to vehicular traffic.

7 p.m. to 9 p.m.: Dance with DJ Cliff in Mitchell Park.

Sunday

9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: 6th Annual Pirate & Mermaid Breakfast to benefit the Paul Drum Life Experience Project.

10 a.m.: Maritime Festival opens.

10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Captain Kidd’s Alley. Crafts, treasure chest. Mitchell Park.

1-Hour Cruises: Mystic Whaler harbor cruise sail. RR/Commercial Dock. 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Noon to 3 p.m.: Chowder Fest Contest. Greenport Shipyard/Carpenter Street.

1 p.m.: Story time provided by Miss Vicky from Floyd Memorial Library, for kids of all ages.

1 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Snapper fishing contest, ages 8 and under. RR/Commercial Dock.

2 p.m.: "Weather Forecasting for Boaters," presented by the U.S. Power Squadron. East End Seaport Museum.

2 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Snapper fishing contest. Ages 9 to 16. RR/Commercial Dock.

4:30 p.m.: Eastern Long Island Hospital's “Dream Green” Raffle drawing. Mitchell Park

5 p.m.: Festival closing time.

6 p.m.: Streets open to vehicular traffic.
