4 Boaters Seriously Injured In Mattituck Crash
The boat careened into a bulkhead Sunday night, leaving four with serious injuries, officials said.
MATTITUCK, NY — Four people were seriously injured in a boat crash in Mattituck Sunday night, officials said.
Mattituck and Cutchogue Fire Departments responded to the scene of the crash, which took place at the entrance to James Creek just before 10 p.m.; according to fire officials at the scene, a boat crashed into a bulkhead. One of the individuals was in cardiac arrest and first responders performed CPR, officials said.
Suffolk County Aviation is responding to Strawberry Fields on Rt. 48 to transport the injured to the hospital for treatment, officials said.
