6 Men Receive Summonses For Taking Black Sea Bass Out Of Season: PD
The CT men were found in Mattituck taking black sea bass from New York waters, police say.

NORTH FORK, NY — Six Connecticut men received summonses after they were caught illegally fishing for black sea bass out of season on the North Fork, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place on June 17 at 10:41 a.m., northeast of Mattituck Inlet.
The Southold Town police department's marine patrol responded to an anonymous complaint about the fishermen taking black sea bass from New York waters; black sea bass season is closed in New York but open in Connecticut, police said.

Upon checking five vessels, the fishermen were found all to be in violation of Environmental Conservation Laws; nine summonses were issued and 54 black sea bass were confiscated, police said.
