MATTITUCK, NY - It's arguably the sweetest event of the year.

The 62nd Annual Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Festival kicks off this weekend at Strawberry Fields on Route 48.

Known as Long Island's original and largest strawberry festival and fundraiser, the event, presented by Bridgehampton National Bank, has been a beloved North Fork event for generations, which begins Thursday night with the time-honored hulling night tradition as families and locals gather to share fun, memories, and strawberries . . . lots of strawberries.
