9th Annual Unity Picnic In Southold Celebrates Diversity
The picnic "epitomizes the work of the Southold Anti-Bias Task Force, bringing people together and fostering dialogue, not conflict."

PECONIC, NY — An annual event that celebrates diversity and togetherness is set to unfold, as the Southold Anti-Bias Task Force's 9th Annual Unity Picnic promises a day of good food, fun, and a shared vision of understanding and acceptance.
The free event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 11 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Peconic Community Center on Peconic Lane.
Food will be served from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages will be provided. The day will also include live music, entertainment, games for children, and door prizes.

"The Unity Picnic is one of my favorite events each year," said Southold Town Supervisor Scott Russell. "It epitomizes the work of Southold Anti-Bias Task Force — bringing people together and fostering dialogue, not conflict."
