Amalfi At Claudio's, 'New Italian Coastal Dining Concept' Closes After Just 1 Week In Greenport
"Amalfi's holiday pop-up run at Claudio's is wrapping up for the season."

GREENPORT, NY — If you blinked, you missed it: Amalfi at Claudio's, "a new coastal dining concept at the historic waterfront marina in Greenport," closed Thursday, just one week after opening on July 9.
"Amalfi's holiday pop-up run at Claudio's is wrapping up for the season," a statement from representatives said. "Amalfi is an established, well-regarded brand with its home base in Hampton Bays, and while there was potential for the concept to continue at Claudio's Marina through the season and beyond, Sal Biundo and Claudio’s ownership ultimately decided it was best to keep this engagement to a short run. Claudio's has partnered with operators on several pop-ups over the years, and the team has decided that the best next step is to put this incredible space to use for events and catering."
The menu had featured offerings including linguine Vongole, Amalfi chips, meze plates, lobster salad, caviar, Sicilian pizza squares, whole Branzino, and more.

A longtime chapter in Greenport history came to a close in 2018: After more than 147 years owned by the same family, Claudio's was sold.
In a message on the business' Facebook page, owners wrote: "To our many wonderful friends, fans and loyal patrons: Kathy, Bill, Janice, Beatsy and the late Jerry Tuthill — the Claudio/Tuthill family — would like to publicly announce the sale of our businesses, Claudio's Restaurant, Claudio's Clam Bar and Crabby Jerry's. While this marks the end of a long era for our family, we believe it also serves as a new beginning for the property, one which we hope will be filled with innovation and growth."
The iconic name lives on, the post said.
