American Legion To Host Event For Families Of Deployed Troops
Many local North Fork families are missing deployed loved ones, Denise Thilberg-Zuhoski says; the event is a show of community support.

SOUTHOLD, NY — The North Fork community is coming together to support the families of deployed military.
According to Denise Thilberg-Zuhoski of the Southold American Legion Auxiliary, an event, "You're Not Alone" is planned for Sunday, Sept. 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the American Legion Griswold Terry Glover Post 803, located at 51655 Main Road in Southold. The gathering will include refreshments and camaraderie.
"There are so many families with brothers, sisters, children, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, spouses, etc., that are deployed right now that we felt it would be nice for them to meet others that are in the same circumstances," Thilberg-Zuhoski said.
