Woman 'Combative' With Officers, Resists Arrest In East Marion: Police

She refused to exit the vehicle despite being asked multiple times, became combative when an attempt was made to handcuff her, police say.

EAST MARION, NY —A Mastic Beach woman became combative while resisting arrest in East Marion Sunday, police said.

According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at about 4:30 p.m. on Willow Drive.

Patricia Davis, 39, was arrested and charged with resisting arrested and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, police said.

Officers responded to a possible crash in the area of Willow Drive, police said. During the investigation, Davis refused to exit the vehicle despite being asked multiple times, police said.

Officers then escorted Davis out of the vehicle and attempted to place her in handcuffs, when she became combative, police said. When she was told she was being placed under arrest, Davis "actively resisted" the officer, police said.

She was arrested and transported to Southold Town police headquarters for processing, police said.
