LONG ISLAND, NY — After Sunday's heavy rain, bringing more than 3 inches in total to some parts of Long Island, see what Mother Nature has in store for the week ahead, according to the National Weather Service.

Islip Airport received the highest recorded amount of rainfall on Long Island, with 3.06 inches, the NWS said.

Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 76. North wind 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Monday night

Clear, with a low around 54. Northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunny, with a high near 70. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 54. Calm wind.
