SOUTHOLD, NY — Talented Southold students are once again set to shine onstage: The Southold Drama Club Presents "The Alibis" By Jonathan Dorf.
Presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals, the event takes place in the Southold District Auditorium, located at 420 Oaklawn Avenue, on November 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. and November 8 at 2 p.m.
All tickets cost $10, and are available at the door Southold District Auditorium.
Directed by Casey Rooney and Jessica Ellwood and starring Paige Harvey (12th) and Phoebe Faint (12th), Ryan Leidahl (10th), Violet Kravitz (9th), Cora Craigue (9th), and Riley Binkis (8th), from last year's acclaimed production of "The Women of Lockerbie", along with Hugo Calderon, Tyanna Cavallos Garcia, Sophia Chacon, Ayla Eisenberg, Elisa Garcia Avalos, Hannah Hallock, Emily Kennedy, and Maeve Siegal.
A description of the show, from the playwright's website, Ellwood said: "Eight talented (and devious!) playwrights find the comedy in crime in this rogues' gallery of ten-minute plays wrapped in a classic whodunit. When eccentric billionaire J. Leslie Arlington is murdered, a clueless detective finds the suspects are all reluctant to admit their alibis... because they were all committing other ridiculous crimes at the time. You never know what's coming next when the suspects include disgruntled chefs, teen detectives and vengeful divas, but one thing's for certain: every alibi is absolutely absurd."
