Free carousel rides for children under 12 will be offered from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., sponsored by the Friends of Mitchell Park.

The Greenport Business Improvement District's Halloween Village includes trick-or-treating throughout the village from noon to 3 p.m.; the Teal Pumpkin Project will offer alternatives for those with food allergies.

The Greenport BID also presents "Bats, Black Cats, and Things That Go Bump In the Night," encompassing a scavenger hunt, spooky storefront decorations and photo opportunities — as well as Spooky Story Time, presented at noon at the Blue Duck Bakery courtyard. Miss Nina, children's librarian at Floyd Memorial Library, will lead the storytelling event. Also presented by the BID at the Blue Duck Bakery courtyard at 1:30 p.m., "Lizzie Borden & Her Tale of Woe," which is not suitable for young children

In addition, The Greenport Express, located on Moores Lane, will offer "The Halloween Spooktacular," presented by the Rotary Club of Greenport. Train rides Saturday will cost $10 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

A matinee of "Hocus Pocus" will be shown at the North Fork Arts Center at the Greenport Sapan Theatre, located at 211 Front Street, at 2 p.m.
