'Chart Greenport's Future' At Series Of Pre-Election Community Conversations

GREENPORT, NY — Residents are invited to gather and engage in community discussions in advance of the next Greenport Village election.

The community conversations, "Chart Greenport's Future: It Takes An (Incorporated) Village," are being organized prior to the March 16, 2027 village election, when candidates will vie for the Greenport Village mayor's seat, as well as three of four trustee seats.

The event, hosted by the Greenport Civic Association, takes place on Wednesday, November 18 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Holy Trinity Church, located at 768 Main Street.

Guests can join to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of the mayor and trustees; the featured speaker at the event will be Southampton Town Justice and Southampton Village Attorney Eileen Powers.
