Anti-Bias Picnic Promotes Unity, Diversity In Angry World
"Together we can continue making a difference as we work, at all levels, to become a bias-free community." The event is free; all welcome.

PECONIC, NY — In a world torn by hatred, bigotry and discord, an annual event in Southold Town aims to foster understanding and acceptance.
The Southold Anti-Bias Task Force's 10th Annual Unity Picnic, "Celebrating Diversity," will unfold on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Peconic Community Center on Peconic Lane.
The event promises a day of good food, fun, and a shared vision of understanding and acceptance

Food will be served from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages will be provided. The day will also include live music, entertainment, games for children, and door prizes.
"The Unity Picnic is one of my favorite events each year," Southold Town Supervisor Scott Russell has said. "It epitomizes the work of Southold Anti-Bias Task Force — bringing people together and fostering dialogue, not conflict."
