Backpack Found With Large Quantity of Marijuana, Cocaine: Cops

He was stopped for not wearing his seat belt; police found a large quantity of marijuana, cocaine, a scale and packing materials, cops say.

GREENPORT, NY — A Patchogue man was caught with cocaine, marijuana, packing material and a scale in Greenport, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Raymond Fuccillo, 25, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Route 25 and charged with criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, as well as having no seat belt.

Fuccillo was stopped for not wearing his seat belt and the odor of marijuana was emanating from his vehicle, police said.

He was found to have a small quantity of marijuana and a prescription pill on his person, police said. During subsequent investigation, officers found a backpack with a large quantity of marijuana, a quantity of cocaine, packaging material and a scale, police said.

Fuccillo was arrested, processed and released on bail with a future court date, police said.
