GREENPORT, NY — The Surfrider Foundation of Eastern Long Island is doing its part to keep North Fork beaches pristine.

A Greenport cleanup is scheduled for President's Day weekend, on Monday, Feb. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 67 Steps Beach, located at 66 Sound Road.

"Cleanup supplies will be provided, but we recommend bringing warm layers, sun protection, water, and your own reusable gloves if you'd like them," the Surfrider Foundation said. "We will also record data on the collected trash to help in our work against plastic pollution on our beaches."
