Benjamin Pileski's Family: 'Things Seem to be Coming Along'
Ben has been transferred out of Stony Brook University Hospital as he begun to show signs of improving.

Benjamin Pileski’s condition has been continuing to improve as his family keeps friends updated on the Facebook page created in his honor, Ben’s Corner.
Earlier this month, the 20-year-old Mattituck resident was severely injured after he was hit by a taxi in Montauk.
After the accident, Ben was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was in critical condition.

On Thursday, Ben’s brother, Zach Pileski, wrote on the Facebook page, which now has 1,891 members, that ”things seem to be coming along.”
Ben was transferred out of Stony Brook University Hospital recently and is now at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, according to Zach.

He has begun occupational, speech and physical therapy to continue to help him improve.
“He still has a long way to go but everyone’s support truly has helped,” Zach writes. “With everything that’s been in the news recently, I feel so lucky that my brother has already made it this far.”
A GoFundMe page was also started to help out Ben’s family, which already exceeded its goal in 2 weeks.
According to the page, $10,325 was raised since the page was created on July 10 with a goal of $10,000.
“I want to thank everyone for their love and support it really has gone a long way,” Zach writes.
