GREENPORT, NY — Peconic Landing is marking Black History Month with two events that are free and open to the public.

The first event takes place on Friday, Feb. 17 at the Peconic Landing auditorium, located at 1500 Brecknock Road in Greenport, with a screening of the documentary "All On A Mardis Gras Day."

"All on a Mardi Gras Day celebrates Black Carnival in New Orleans in all its riotous, colorful and spiritual glory. Incorporating classic New Orleans music, previously-unseen photographs and film footage, and interviews with major Carnival players, the film explores African-Creole Carnival traditions," Peconic Landing said.
