CUTCHOGUE, NY — A popular bagel shop is set to open its second location in Cutchogue soon.

Black Sheep Bagels already has a spot in Jamesport, where it opened in 2022 — the store was previously Goldberg's Famous Bagels before co-owner Chris Conlan unveiled its next chapter with the new moniker.

Now, Conlan said, he and Bobby Gainz, his partner in the Cutchogue location at 31000 Main Road, the spot where Scoops & Grinds was located next to Braun Seafood, are set to unveil the second location of Black Sheep Bagels during the second week of June.

"We are expanding, not moving," Conlan said.

Currently, Conlan said, the business is looking to hire a manager and counter help.

Conlan is excited about the new site. "This spot is perfect, because it has that homey vibe to it. It's bright and beautiful. We have great neighbors and a nice front yard for seating and lawn games."

And, Conlan said: The landlord Ken Homan is an outstanding gentlemen and landlord. All of those things combined make it a perfect fit for Black Sheep Bagels."

Black Sheep Bagels has quickly become a staple in Jamesport. "Customers love the variety of bagels and offerings to go with them," Conlan said.

And it's not just bagels that have crowds coming back for more.

"We do a great lunch and have awesome specialty sandwiches such as 'The Aquebogue,' which is a breaded chicken cutlet with bacon, lettuce, tomato, fresh mozzarella and Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce," he said.
