Boy Scouts Hold Car Wash After 'Crippling' Loss Of Funds
The pandemic nixed Southold Boy Scout Troop 6's Annual Antique Car Show fundraiser — but a car wash took place instead Saturday.

SOUTHOLD, NY — Southold Boy Scouts in Troop 6 saw their 31st Annual Antique Car Show derailed due to the pandemic — but in true can-do fashion, they didn't let the news stop them. They organized a car show to raise much-needed funds, instead.
"The car show is our only troop fundraiser and not being able to have it is financially crippling to us. These funds help offset the cost of trips for the Scouts," said Aileen Mazzei, troop committee chair.
