
Celebrate “Prohibition on the North Fork” with an Evening of History, Spirits, and Jazz
Hallockville Museum Farm and The Old Mill Inn invite the public to step back in time for Prohibition on the North Fork, a unique two-part event exploring the region’s rum-running past and the culture of the 1920s.The event will take place on Sunday, April 26, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the historic Naugles Barn in Riverhead and continuing at The Old Mill Inn in Mattituck.
The evening begins at the Naugles Barn (6038 Sound Avenue, Riverhead) from 4:00–5:00 p.m., where local historian Amy Folk will present on the North Fork’s Prohibition-era history. The program will be followed by a tasting and demonstration from Twin Stills Distillery, offering insight into the craft of distilling.
Guests will then travel to The Old Mill Inn (5775 West Mill Road, Mattituck) from 5:30–8:00 p.m. to continue the experience. The reception will feature passed period-inspired canapés, a selection of three Prohibition-era cocktails, and live jazz music in a setting evocative of the Roaring Twenties.
