Celebration For Little Boy Who Battled Leukemia Successfully
"Sam's Celebration" takes place Monday at the 5th Street beach in Greenport.

GREENPORT, NY — The community is ready to celebrate with Sam Duffy, 7, as he finishes more three years of battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia successfully.
"Sam's Celebration" will take place Monday at the 5th Street beach in Greenport from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bring a dish to share and a bathing suit if you wish, and bring friends.
Also, those who wish can don cleats and challenge North Fork United Soccer coach Rafael and friends, or dance to the music of Brady Rymer.

Costumes are also welcomed and encouraged, said Sam's mom Holly Lanzetta.
The community has rallied for Sam throughout his journey with much love; in 2016, Greenport kindergartners made yellow pinwheels to raise awareness about childhood cancers.
