Court Appearance For Steven Romeo Rescheduled
The DWI-crash defendant was scheduled to appear in court on Friday.

The scheduled court appearance for Friday in Southold Town Justice Court of DWI-crash defendant Steven Romeo, 55, of Peconic, will be adjourned to September 18.
Romeo remains hospitalized at Eastern Long Island Hospital following the crash on Saturday where Romeo’s pick-up truck hit a limo, killing four women and injuring an additional four women, according to the DA.
Romeo’s defense attorney has informed the court his client will remain hospitalized and filed an application on Thursday to have his bail reduced.

The district attorney’s office has consented to the lowering of the defendant’s bail from a $500,000 cash bail or $1 million bond to $100,000 bond or $50,000 cash.
