Crowd Cheers Festive Greenport Parade Of Lights: Photos, Videos

GREENPORT, NY — Holiday spirit was in full swing Saturday night as the third annual Parade of Lights illuminated Greenport and Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived at Mitchell Park for the festivities.

The parade wended its way from Center Street to the intersection of Main and Front Streets.

The joy of the season was captured by local Greenport school children who sang carols; winners of the Greenport Schools poster contest were invited to help Greenport Village Mayor George Hubbard light the glorious tree, donated by Frank and Phyllis Musto.

The event was presented by the Village of Greenport and the Greenport Fire Department.
