Dad Caught Driving Drunk With Daughter, 7, in Car on Route 48 in Cutchogue: Police

The father also had marijuana in his car, police said.

CUTCHOGUE, NY - A father was caught driving drunk with his daughter, 7, in the car on Route 48 in Cutchogue, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Patrick Macgowan, 44, of Sayville, was arrested on Sunday at 7:45 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, a violation of Leandra's Law, a felony.

Macgowan was stopped for a traffic infraction and was found to be intoxicated, while his daughter, 7, was a passenger in his vehicle, police said. Macgowan also had a small amount of marijuana in his possession, police said.

Macgowan was transported to Southold Town police headquarters, processed and held for arraignment, police said.
