Defendants Waiting For Bail Money Back After Arrest Of Justice Clerk

Justice Clerk Christine Stulsky was arrested and charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing from Southold Town Hall in March.

Justice Clerk Christine Stulsky was arrested and charged with grand larceny after she allegedly stole $50,000 from Southold Town Hall and defendants are still waiting to get the bail money back, according to SoutholdLocal.

An assistant district attorney said she stole “in exess of” $50,000 in bails and other fees from Town Hall in order to pay for groceries, pet food and cigarettes. Stulsky pleaded not guilty to felony charges, according to SoutholdLocal.

Southold Town Justice William Price told SoutholdLocal the bail money that Stulsky “allegedly misappropriated cannot be returned to those people it belongs to.”
