GREENPORT, NY — Greenport residents got a treat Tuesday as they were able to see dolphins frolicking happily in Peconic Bay.

According to Ben Brannon, the dolphins were spotted west of the ferry toward Sunset Beach on Shelter Island. Then later in the day, they moved closer to the condos on Sixth Street in Greenport, just west of the North Ferry.

Kirsten Droskoski also posted on social media about the pod of dolphins. "Dolphins everywhere today," she wrote.
